At our AGM on 30 September, we said a big thank you to Ray Raper and Natalie Melia who have stepped down after serving on the Committee for the last year. We welcomed new Committee member Matthew Page who will be taking over the role of Membership Secretary from Maurice Crichton. Matthew will be known to many of you for his roles in the last two YTR community productions. He played Wrenne in Sovereign at King’s Manor in 2023 and Chief Minister in His Last Report in July this year.

Under Clause 4 of our Constitution, we can co-opt up to three more members to the Committee during the coming year.

100 Years ago in 1925, YSCP staged R.U.R. (1920) by Karel Capek; The Knight of the Burning Pestle (1607) by Francis Beaumont and John Fletcher; and The Ship (1922) by St John G Ervine.
50 Years ago in 1975, it was King Lear (c1606) by William Shakespeare; a double bill of The American Dream(1961) by Edward Albee and Alas, Poor Fred (1959) by James Saunders; and The Crucible (1953) by Arthur Miller.
