We’re so thrilled that, after a year and a half, YSCP are back! Our Autumn 2021 production in the John Cooper Studio Theatre@41 will be John Buchan’s The 39 Steps, adapted by Patrick Barlow and directed by Harri Marshall.
The production will run for one week from 11 to 16 October. Cast auditions with Harri will take place in the John Cooper Studio at the following dates and times:
- Sunday 8 August, 10-11am & 11.45am-12.45pm
- Sunday 15 August, 10-11am & 11.45am-12.45pm

- Hannay – dashing lead, physical performer – 30-50s – male identifying
- Pamela – feisty, intelligent, attractive lead – 25-40s – female identifying
- Clown 1 – physical, comic – female identifying, any age
- Clown 2 – physical, comic – male identifying, any age
- Clown 3 – physical, comic – female identifying, any age
- Clown 4 – physical, comic – male identifying, any age
(Please note: Clowns multirole – we’re looking for a strong ensemble capable of accents and physical performance. Be prepared to play anything from police to underwear salesman to noir heroines!)
AUDITION INFO
Auditions will be workshop-style followed by a prepared 1-minute monologue of your choice. If you are unable to attend the audition for any reason, Harri will be accepting a ½ minute monologue via video.
